Scholarship Description

The International Max Planck Research School in Jena is an international graduate program to train excellent students in the use of molecular and chemical techniques to experimentally explore ecological interactions under natural conditions. The main focus is on the interactions between plants, animals, and their environment, as well as the behavioral consequences of these interactions. "The Exploration of Ecological Interactions with Molecular and Chemical Techniques" in Jena, Germany, is offering PhD fellowships beginning in January 2012. Students holding a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in molecular biology, ecology, entomology, microbiology, chemistry, biochemistry and neuroethology, with a proven record of success in one of the disciplines and interest in examining ecological interactions, are eligible to conduct a doctoral project within the IMPRS.
