Joan Duffield Research Scholarships for PhD Study in Astronomy & Astrophysics
Scholarship Description
Open to outstanding Australian (or Australian permanent resident) students seeking to pursue PhD research at the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics. Successful candidates will be of high academic standards and will have already demonstrated a capacity for research in a relevant field. The award provides a supplementary stipend of $5,000 p.a. tax free to a holder of an ANU PhD scholarship, APA or an equivalent recognised scholarship. No separate application is required - ANU PhD/APA applicants are automatically considered for this award. The award is tenable for up to 3 and a 1/2 years.

Availability
This scholarship is offered annually to one person. Open for applications until October 31, 2007.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD5000 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.
