Asthma PhD Research Scholarships

Scholarship Description

The CRC for Asthma and Airways (CRCAA) is keen to foster PhD programs within to attract students of the highest calibre and to provide them with additional support during their study. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate with other CRC researchers, and participate in exchange programs with the pharmaceutical industry and other CRC for Asthma and Airways partners. Funds have been allocated to provide financial assistance, in the form of supplementary scholarships, to PhD students. The Education Committee of the CRC will award a number of these scholarships to students who are working on CRC projects and have preferably been awarded a PhD scholarship from another source. Scholarships will provide a sum up to $7500 pa (includes an allocation of $2,500 for conference and travel assistance for which students may apply). Please see website for application forms.

Availability

This scholarship is offered dependent on funds to 45 people. Open for applications until November 14, 2008.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD7500 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for research, living expenses and travel. This scholarship is paid monthly for the period of 3 years.

Research Information

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Biochemistry and cell biology, BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES, Clinical sciences, MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES, Other medical and health sciences, Pharmacology and pharmaceutical sciences or Public health and health services.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia. Only citizens of Australia or permanent residents can apply.
