Land & Water Postgraduate Scholarships
Scholarship Description
Land & Water Australia is seeking applications for Postgraduate (PhD and Masters) scholarships, to improve our understanding and ability to sustainably use and manage Australia's natural resources. Scholarships may commence from March 2008. Applicants must be permanent residents or citizens of Australia. The scholarship provides a stipend of $27,000 pa tax free plus $8,000 pa for holder's operating expenses. Other expenses are the responsibility of the University or the candidate. Awards will be available for 3 years for PhD or two years for Masters candidates. Please see the scheme website for further information and application procedures, including forms.

Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD35000 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for research and living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 2 years if masters or 3 years if PhD.
Research Information
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Crop and pasture production, EARTH SCIENCES, Environmental sciences, Fisheries sciences, Forestry sciences, Horticulture, Land, parks and agriculture management, SCIENCE - GENERAL or Soil and water sciences. It is required that your study starts no earlier than March 1, 2009.

This scholarship is for study in Australia. Only citizens of Australia or permanent residents can apply.
