Royal Schools of Music (UK) - International Scholarships
Scholarship Description
Each year, the Associated Board awards International Scholarships to enable outstanding musicians to study on courses at one of the four Royal Schools of Music in the UK. There are normally four undergraduate awards each year, tenable at each of the Royal Schools for a four-year undergraduate performance course, and four postgraduate awards covering one or two-year postgraduate performance, composition or conducting courses at the Royal Schools. The international scholarship provides full payment of tuition fees for the duration of the course, a grant of £5000 towards living costs (usually paid in termly instalments) and a flight home on satisfactory completion of the course. No separate application process is necessary, as candidates are automatically considered for the scholarships by the Admissions Board at each RSM. Recommendations are then made directly to ABRSM. Please see website for full details.
