CRiCS PhD Scholarship in Financial Modelling
A PhD scholarship is available for studying the use of information theory in financial markets, building on the work by Harre and Bossomaier in Europhysics Letters (Phase-transition-behaviour of information measures in financial markets). The project will involve developing theoretical and simulation models of information flow in stock markets, making extensive use of real data. The student would need a quantitative degree, with strong programming and data analysis skills.
