A Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship (MQRES) is available in the Department of Modern History Politics and International Relations with Prof Marion Maddox's successful Discovery Project DP120104085. The ARC project 'Religion and Political Thought (RAPT)' seeks a PhD candidate to conduct research about a politically active NRM, or about the politics of NRMs generally, in Australia. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to take part in conferences and workshops associated with the RAPT project and to work with the other scholars involved. The value of this scholarship is AUD23728 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 and a half years.
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Historical studies, HISTORY AND ARCHAEOLOGY, Philosophy, PHILOSOPHY AND RELIGION, Religion and religious traditions, SOCIAL SCIENCES, HUMANITIES AND ARTS - GENERAL, Sociology or STUDIES IN HUMAN SOCIETY.
This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand may apply.
