BCRC PhD Scholarship
Scholarship Description
In partnership with the Ballarat Cancer Research Centre (BCRC), the University of Ballarat is seeking to immediately appoint a PhD. candidate who will be supervised by Associate Professor Stuart Berzins, and have access to the excellent research facilities at the BCRC, which include high speed flow cytometry analysis and sorting. The successful candidate will be required to hold a First Class Honours degree (or MSc) in a biological science and will join a group of researchers with a proven international track record and strong collaborative links with clinicians (including Professor George Kannourakis - Research Director of the BCRC) and other research institutions. Experience in cellular immunology (e.g. cell culturing, flow cytometry and/or assays of immune functioning) would be an advantage. This scholarship is offered once only to one person. Open for applications from August 1, 2012 until August 31, 2012.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD23728 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for research. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.
Research Information
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Clinical sciences or Immunology.
Eligibility
This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Masters or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand may apply.
