MQ 40 Domestic PhD Scholarships
Scholarship Description
40 full-time domestic research scholarships are available on a first-come-first-served basis for qualified, newly commencing PhD candidates to enrol in Semester 2, 2012. Failure to enrol before 15 December will result in forfeiture of award. These scholarships are available for up to 3.5 years depending on the award offered (APA or MQRES). Successful applicants usually have an outstanding academic record, a history of scholarships and prizes at undergraduate level, and may have peer-reviewed research activity, such as publications, conference presentations, or other relevant and substantial work-related research experience. Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD23728 (per annum). This award is to be used for research, living expenses and fees. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 and a half years.
Research Information
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: AGRICULTURAL, VETERINARY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES, BEHAVIOURAL AND COGNITIVE SCIENCES, BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES, CHEMICAL SCIENCES, COMMERCE, MANAGEMENT, TOURISM AND SERVICES, EARTH SCIENCES, EDUCATION, ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, HISTORY AND ARCHAEOLOGY, INFORMATION, COMPUTING AND COMMUNICATION SCIENCES, LANGUAGE AND CULTURE, LAW, JUSTICE AND LAW ENFORCEMENT, MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES, MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES, PHILOSOPHY AND RELIGION, PHYSICAL SCIENCES, POLICY AND POLITICAL SCIENCE, SCIENCE - GENERAL, SOCIAL SCIENCES, HUMANITIES AND ARTS - GENERAL, STUDIES IN HUMAN SOCIETY or THE ARTS. It is required that your study starts no later than December 15, 2012.
Eligibility
This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand or AUS permanent resident can apply.
