Scholarship Description
The ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate System Science comprises five Australian universities and a suite of outstanding national and international Partner Organizations. The Centre’s focus is Climate System Science building on a core of atmosphere, ocean, and land surface science including the physics, dynamics and biology of these systems, and the flow of energy, water and chemicals between them. The Centre provides a phenomenal research environment for outstanding PhD students in Climate System Science by providing unparalleled access to facilities, expertise, technical support, high performance computing, and travel support to visit international partners. The Centre will be enrolling multiple students at each University. The award covers an APA-equivalent stipend, topup, possible fee waiver and travel opportunities.

Availability
This scholarship is offered on an ongoing basis to 12 people. Open for applications from September 1, 2011 until December 31, 2012.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD25000 (minimum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses, travel and fees. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 4 years.
Research Information
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Atmospheric sciences, Oceanography or Other earth sciences. It is required that your study starts no earlier than January 1, 2012 and no later than December 31, 2013.
Eligibility
This scholarship requires you to have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent. There are no restrictions on citizenship.
