Melbourne University Helen Macpherson Smith Scholarship

Scholarship Description

The trustees of the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust have donated funds to establish special scholarships for outstanding women who are entering graduate study. Two scholarships are available annually and are normally awarded to the highest-ranked female recipients of an APA or MRS entering a scientific, technical humanities or social sciences discipline. This is a top-up payment (payable over one year) in addition to an APA or MRS. Please see Melbourne Scholarships Office for more details.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD8000 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 1 year.

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: BEHAVIOURAL AND COGNITIVE SCIENCES, BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES, CHEMICAL SCIENCES, EARTH SCIENCES, ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, HISTORY AND ARCHAEOLOGY, INFORMATION, COMPUTING AND COMMUNICATION SCIENCES, LANGUAGE AND CULTURE, LAW, JUSTICE AND LAW ENFORCEMENT, MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES, MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES, PHILOSOPHY AND RELIGION, PHYSICAL SCIENCES, POLICY AND POLITICAL SCIENCE, SCIENCE - GENERAL, SOCIAL SCIENCES, HUMANITIES AND ARTS - GENERAL or STUDIES IN HUMAN SOCIETY.
