Scholarship Description

Theoretical Subatomic physics; interpretation of lattice QCD data within effective field theory; tests of fundamental symmetries; physics beyond the standard model - low energy yests and investigations at the LHC; study of dense hadronic matter; properties of neutron stars; models of hardon structure.

This scholarship is offered once only to 2 people. Open for applications from September 1, 2010 until October 29, 2010.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD27222 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years, reviewed annually.

Research Information

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Atomic & molecular phys; nuclear & particle phys;plasma phys or Theoretical and condensed matter physics.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Honours 2a or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or AUS permanent resident can apply.
