ARC Linkage PhD scholarship IPRI/Boston Scientific at University of Wollongong
Scholarship Description
The PhD student will undertake fundamental corrosion studies on materials to be produced in the linkage project. These materials include specific metal alloys provided by the inductry partner Boston Scientific. The corrosion studies will involve the use of standard corrosion testing instrumentation (e.g. impedance spectroscopy) as well more advanced techniques such as scanning electrochemical microscopy. The PhD student will work closely with other researchers on the project both with in ACES and Boston Scientific.

This scholarship is offered once only to one person. Open for applications from September 1, 2010 until October 30, 2010.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD27222 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.
Research Information
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Other chemical sciences. It is required that your study starts no earlier than January 2, 2011 and no later than March 1, 2011.
Eligibility
This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 2a or equivalent, or Masters or equivalent. There are no restrictions on citizenship.
