Scholarship Description

The aim of this PhD work is to be able to model fracture for FCC and HCP materials which occur at various strain rates under dynamic loadings. For this purpose, the development of a general fracture criterion connected with an advanced hardening model is recommended.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD22500 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses and fees. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.

Research Information

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY. It is required that your study starts no earlier than October 3, 2010 and no later than May 1, 2011.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Honours 2a or equivalent.
