Physics: Micro-optics of Natural Silks
Scholarship Description
A Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship (MQRES) is available in the Department of Physics associated with successful DARPA (USA) funding for a research project on Optical Properties of Natural Silk Spiders. This project will undertake simulations of micro-optic elements relevant to biological silks. It will use sophisticated optical software such as CODE V and Lighttools, in addition to Mathematical based modelling. some results will require use of 3D visualisation and animation to facilitate their communication. Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD22860 (per annum). This award is to be used for research, living expenses and fees. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 and a half years.

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent.
