Physics & Engineering PHOTONICS - Novel Coding & Decoding for Accelerated Biomolecular Discovery

Scholarship Description

A full-time PhD scholarship is available in the Department of Physics and Engineering, MQPHOTONICS Research Centre, Macquarie University, associated with ARC DP1095465. Through the international research network the successful candidate will undertake a biochemistry project using microparticle chemistry barcoding technique to establish an advanced multiplexing technique to rapidly analyse complex biological mixtures, such as cell lysates, food samples or body fluids. Additional support will be available for travel to the US to work with the two US project supervisors. Prospective applicants should, in the first instance, submit a cover letter detailing relevant experience, a CV and an academic transcript to the principal supervisor: Dr. Dayong Jin, after referring to http://www.hdr.mq.edu.au/information_about/scholarships for more information. Applicants should quote the allocation number 2010103 on their application.
