Scholarship Description
Baker IDI Heart & Diabetes Institute is an independent, internationally renowned medical research facility. Our work extends from the laboratory to wide-scale community studies with a focus on diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. We are seeking two motivated and enthusiastic PhD scholars to join the Healthy Lifestyle Research Centre (HLRC) at Baker IDI. Using the state of the art research facilities comprising a gymnasium, kitchen and clinical research rooms the Healthy Lifestyle Research Centre research program examines how genetic and environmental factors interact to regulate body weight and body composition in humans as a basis for development of lifestyle interventions. Previous work in physical activity, nutrition or clinical biomedical research is advantageous. A keen interest in these areas of research is essential.

Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD22500 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.
