Philanthropy and Indigenous People ARC Postgraduate Scholarship

Scholarship Description

The Centre for Aboriginal Economic Policy Research (CAEPR), located at the Australian National University, invites applications for an Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) scholarship leading to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). The PhD candidate will participate in research that aims to critically assess the degree to which philanthropic interventions improve Indigenous education outcomes—from both Indigenous and philanthropic perspectives—with the goal of identifying or developing models, strategies and principles of effective partnership and engagement. The student will work directly with project Chief Investigators Dr Jerry Schwab and Dr Janet Hunt. The student will receive support from staff of the project Partner Organisation, the Melbourne Community Foundation and members of the project Advisory Committee, who will provide advice, assist with analysing findings and facilitate access to other philanthropic groups in Melbourne and across the nation.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD27222 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.
