Scholarship Description
The Pharmacology group has a broad interest in drugs useful for treating pain and seek to understand how analgesics work at a cellular and molecular level, and how this effects the activity of neurons involved in sensing and responding to pain. The major goal is to identify potential new targets for drug action. The scholarship will enable the student to be part of the vibrant ASAM team, whose work bears directly on a wide range of conditions involving the nervous system. A top-up is available above the Macquarie University PhD stipend level for suitably qualified candidates. Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD22860 (per annum). This award is to be used for research, living expenses and fees. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 and a half years.

Eligibility
This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent.
