Leith Trust Indigenous Scholars Program

Scholarship Description
*next round TBA* The Leith Trust Indigenous Scholars Program provides a selected indigenous student with a Commonwealth Supported Place and financial support for each of the 3 years of the Melbourne Juris Doctor (JD) – the law degree for graduates. The scholarship will be awarded to the highest-ranked indigenous student addressing these criteria: 1. Academic results from prior tertiary studies 2. Score in the Law School Admission Test 3. A personal statement (up to 850 words) 4. Demonstrated financial need. All applicants must sit the LSAT. Please note that there is a fee waiver for indigenous students.

Availability
This scholarship is offered annually to one person. Open for applications from February 7, 2011 until March 11, 2011.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD25000 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: LAW, JUSTICE AND LAW ENFORCEMENT.

This scholarship is for study in Australia. To apply you must be a Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Only citizens of Australia may apply.
