Bob Hawke Postgraduate Scholarship

Scholarship Description
The Bob Hawke Postgraduate Scholarship, funded by donations to the University of South Australia's Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre, honours Prime Minister Bob Hawke's legacy by supporting excellent PhD research that draws upon the extensive collections of the Centre's Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Library. The Library comprises 58.5 shelf metres of archives containing diaries, letters, telegrams, minutes, speeches and newspaper cutting relating to Hawke. The collection also includes audio, photographs, posters, cartoons and ephemera. Robert James Lee (Bob) Hawke, Prime Minister from 1983 to 1991, was the most successful national leader of the Australian Labour Party. His Government's economic and social reforms, and international initiatives, are acknowledged to have shaped modern Australia. The Bob Hawke Scholarship supports postgraduate research into international and domestic policy development and governance during the Hawke era, and their impact upon Australia's future direction.

Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD27651 (minimum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.
