Institute for Safety, Compensation & Recovery Research

Scholarship Description
The ISCRR was established in April 2009 under the office of the DVC (Research) as a collaboration between Monash, WorkSafe Victoria and the TAC. The establishment of an Institute by both the TAC and WorkSafe that addresses local compensation issues will ensure that scheme and 'whole of society' benefits are delivered in Victoria; namely, the reduction of workplace injury and improvement in outcomes for workplace and road accident victims. The Institute is governed by a board of management comprised of WorkSafe, TAC and Monash representatives. The PhD awards will be made on a competitive basis for research alighed with the ISCRR's areas of research focus, and the needs and objectives of our core partners. Successful applicants will be awarded scholarship stipend and allowances at the MGS rates. A 'one-off' research support grant of $AUD10,000 will also be provided.
