Scholarship Description

A 3 year PhD scholarship is available in the Chemistry & Biomolecular Sciences, Biomolecular Frontiers Research Centre, at Macquarie University.The project investigates the role of the human innate immune system in using the infection mechanism of pathogens to its own advantage. Applicants need to have an interest in mass spectrometric techniques, particularly as it is used to investigate protein-sugar interactions. Applicants should quote 2010091 on their application. Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD22500 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for research, living expenses and fees. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of up to 3 and a half years.

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Analytical chemistry, Biochemistry and cell biology, CHEMICAL SCIENCES, Macromolecular chemistry, Microbiology, Organic chemistry, Other biological sciences or Physical chemistry (incl. structural).

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent.
