Scholarship Description
The Strategic & Defence Studies Centre (SDSC) at ANU is one of the leading centres for academic research and teaching on Australian national security and defence issues. We are seeking applications from interested and qualified candidates (preferably with first class honours or a strong Masters degree in a relevant discipline). These scholarships are available for candidates interested in working on topics that have a strong bearing on Australia’s long-term strategic and defence policy, including our strategic interests and objectives, force structure priorities, operational issues and capability management and delivery. We are interested in historical as well as contemporary studies of these issues.

Availability
This scholarship is offered dependent on funds to 2 people. Open for applications from February 1, 2010 until March 5, 2010.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD29000 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.
Research Information
This scholarship is for any field of research. It is required that your study starts no earlier than March 5, 2010 and no later than March 31, 2010.
Eligibility
This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Masters or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia may apply.
