PhD Scholarship - School of Psychology & Psychiatry
Scholarship Description
One premium scholarship is available for full-time research study for a PhD degree at the Centre for Forensic Behavioural Science, School of Psychology and Psychiatry, Monash. We seek to attract a candidate showing outstanding research potential. We offer an additional supplement of $4720 on top of the normal APA rate of $22,500 (non taxable). The project forms part of a larger ARC Discovery project "Understanding the nature and characteristics of Youth Violence in Australia". An exceptional graduate student with a high level H1 or H2A degree or equivalent in psychology or other social science subject is required. Knowlege of antisocial behaviour issues and risk assessment methods an advantage. Start date: 1st May 2010. Research Field: Forensic Psychology

Availability
This scholarship is offered once only to one person. Open for applications from January 18, 2010 until February 25, 2010.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD27220 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.
Research Information
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Psychology. It is required that your study starts no earlier than May 1, 2010.
Eligibility
This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Honours 2a or equivalent. AUS permanent resident can apply.
