SRDC scholarship for young innovative researchers
Scholarship Description
Each year the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, SRDC and other Rural Research and Development Corporations sponsor awards for young people to pursue their innovative scientific ideas that will develop long term benefits to Australia’s rural industries. SRDC is one of ten sponsors of the awards and we encourage young researchers with a link to the sugarcane industry to apply. The winner of the SRDC Award will receive up to $22,000 for a research project that explores an emerging scientific issue or innovative activity. The winner of the SRDC award will then be considered a finalist to win an extra $33,000 as the recipient of the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry’s Award.
