Scholarship Description

Research in Animal Production remains the largest single research area with separate research interests in the beef, pig, dairy, equine, poultry and goat industries. The primary research disciplines active across these areas are production, health and welfare, nutrition, toxicology, reproduction, product quality, waste management and cellular and molecular biology in the areas of rumen microbiology and reproductive physiology. The aim of this research is to develop automated, individual animal, weighing, condition scoring and drafting systems for beef cattle suitable for use in extensive grazing systems. The value of this scholarship is AUD26669 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, Honours 2a or equivalent, or Masters or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand may apply.
