Scholarship Description
This PhD position will be part of an ARC linkage program, for up to three years, full-time study. Recent years, Web based social networks are getting more popular and being used by millions. One of the key challenges of the Web based social networks is how to manage healthy relationships among community users and ensure the quality of the information shared and exchanged within the community. The aim of this project is to investigate and develop techniques for managing trust among users and techniques for information filtering and recommendation in order to satisfy users’ information needs.

Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD26669 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for research and living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.

Eligibility
This scholarship requires you to have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, Honours 2a or equivalent, or Masters or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand or permanent residents can apply.
