Scholarship Description

Research within the ABRL group is focused on using cutting edge technology and innovative science to gain a better understanding of disease processes during infections and allergies and develop practical solutions for human and animal health such as novel vaccines, diagnostics and drug targets. The ABRL has close interaction with the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Industries and promotes international collaborations with developing countries. As part of a recently awarded ARC-Linkage grant, several top-up awards are available for science, veterinary and medical graduates that have successfully applied for an APA scholarship or equivalent. Availability

This scholarship is offered bi-annually to 3 people. Open for applications from October 20, 2008 until December 31, 2011.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD7000 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid annually for the period of 3 years.

Research Information

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Biochemistry and cell biology, BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES, Biotechnology, Immunology or Microbiology. It is required that your study starts no earlier than January 1, 2009 and no later than December 31, 2011.

This scholarship is for study in Australia. Only citizens of Australia or AUS permanent resident can apply.
