Scholarship Description
Applicants must have completed at least four (4) years of undergraduate study and attained Honours Class 1 or equivalent. This award is available to Australian citizens of Indigenous descent to pursue a full-time Master’s or Doctoral degree by research. The scholarship is tenable for two (2) years for a Master’s and three (3) years for a PhD.

Availability
This scholarship is offered annually to one person. Open for applications until November 28, 2008.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD20007 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of up to 3 and a half years.
Research Information
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: BEHAVIOURAL AND COGNITIVE SCIENCES, BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES, CHEMICAL SCIENCES, EARTH SCIENCES, INFORMATION, COMPUTING AND COMMUNICATION SCIENCES, MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES, Psychology, SCIENCE - GENERAL or Statistics. It is required that your study starts no earlier than January 1, 2009 and no later than March 31, 2009.
Eligibility
This scholarship requires you to have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent. To apply you must be a Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Only citizens of Australia may apply.
