Scholarship Description
Applications are invited for multidisciplinary PhD research scholarships in the areas of Healthy Development: disciplines include, but are not restricted to, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, biostatistics, demography, dentistry, economics and commerce, education(early childhood / medical), endocrinology, epidemiology, ethics, genetics, indigenous health, law, nutrition, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, pharmacology, physiology, politics, psychiatry, psychology, public health and sociology. Applicants must have a HDA member as their primary supervisor and projects must be multidisciplinary, co-supervised by a researcher from another discipline and/or faculty to the primary supervisor. Availability
This scholarship is offered annually to 8 people. Open for applications from September 22, 2008 until October 31, 2008.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD5000 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 and a half years.
Research Information
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES or Public health and health services. It is required that your study starts no earlier than January 1, 2009 and no later than March 31, 2009.
Eligibility
This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or permanent residents can apply.
