WQRA PhD Top-up Scholarship

Scholarship Description

Top-up scholarship for students already holding APA or equivalent PhD scholarship. Provides top-up to existing stipend ($5,000 p.a. for up to 3.5 years) plus support for project expenses (up to $15,000 per project). Tenable at universities that are members of Water Quality Research Australia Limited (WQRA). Application to be submitted at same time as APA application. This scholarship is closed. Next round will be advised in in due course.

This scholarship is offered annually to 3 people. Open for applications from September 1, 2008 until October 31, 2008.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD30000 (total may vary). This award is to be used for research and living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of up to 3 and a half years.

Research Information

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: AGRICULTURAL, VETERINARY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES, BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES, CHEMICAL SCIENCES, ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES or SCIENCE - GENERAL. It is required that your study starts no earlier than January 1, 2009 and no later than December 31, 2011.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, Honours 2a or equivalent, or Masters or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand or permanent residents can apply.
