Soil Biology PhD Scholarship
Scholarship Description
We are a multi-disciplinary research team. We work with researchers in industry, in the UWA Centre for Microscopy Characterisation and Analysis as well as other Australian and international Universities. Research topics include microbial ecology, restoration ecology, ecosystem processes, biogeochemistry, and microscopy. We are seeking a highly motivated PhD student to work within an Australian Research Council and Alcoa funded project. Commence by 31 March 2009. The project will provide an exceptional opportunity to train within the research and mining sectors & opportunity to travel to collaborating partners at the University of Wales, Bangor, UK. Start date March 2009.

Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD26669 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly.

Eligibility
This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 2a or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand or permanent residents can apply.
