Scholarship Description
The Telecommunication & Information Technology Research Institute (TITR), a research strength at the University of Wollongong, conducts leading edge research in future communication technologies, multimedia processing and management, security and interactive learning technologies. We are looking to fill a number of PhD positions in the area of Wireless Mesh networking, Virtual MIMO and Cooperative Diversity. The ideal candidates will have all/most of the following qualification and experience. Essential Selection Criteria: Bachelors Degree in Computer or Telecommunications Engineering with 1st Class Honors, excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, wireless networking & MIMO, ability to program in C and C++, excellent communications & presentation skills, ability to work as part of a team and individually. Desirable Selection Criteria: • experience in Algorithm development • experience working with simulation software such as QualNet • research experience in wireless communications.
