Scholarship Description

UTS Science is seeking bright young scientists to take up 10 PhD scholarships offered through The Intsitute of Biotechnology of Infectious Diseases (IBID). Scholarships are valued at $25,000 per annum (tax free) for a duration of 3 years. UTS Science also offers PhD candidates generous project funding, individual laptops, generous travel grants and new state-of-the-art labs and equipment and the opportunity to work with world-class researchers.

Availability

This scholarship is offered dependent on funds to 10 people. Open for applications from September 1, 2008 until October 31, 2008.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD25000 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses and fees. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.

Research Information

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES or MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES. It is required that your study starts no earlier than January 1, 2009 and no later than December 31, 2011.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, Honours 2a or equivalent, or Masters or equivalent.
