PhD Scholarships at MNRL

Scholarship Description
PhD scholarships and postdoctoral opportunities are available to work on an exciting and innovative microfluidic project to develop an integrated lab-on-a-chip microdevice for medical diagnostics or pathogen detection in biosensors. The laboratory has developed state-of-the-art technology for actuating, manipulating, mixing, concentrating and separating fluids and particles at the micro/nano scale using electric and acoustic fields. The project involves theoretical and/or experimental investigations to elucidate the fundamental mechanisms associated with various acoustic/electric-field driven phenomena. There will therefore be significant potential for the student or research associate to make a significant impact in this area of interfacial fluid mechanics, microfluidics and bioengineering.
