Maths & Science Graduate Scholarship

Scholarship Description

*Closed. Next round will be advised in due course* The Maths and Science Graduate Scholarship provides for a total of 150 scholarships to be awarded over three annual intakes. Fifty scholarships will be awarded for study in 2010, the last annual intake. The scholarship with total benefits up to $9000 seeks to attract graduates with mathematics or science studies to teaching. Recipients complete a graduate entry teaching course and are encouraged to consider going on to teach in Victorian government schools. This scholarship is for study in Australia. Only citizens of Australia or permanent residents can apply. Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders and rural students are particularly encouraged.

Availability

This scholarship is offered annually to 50 people. Open for applications from July 26, 2009 until October 5, 2009.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD5000 (minimum per award). This award is to be used for miscellaneous purposes. This scholarship is paid as a one off for the period of 1 year.

Research Information

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES, CHEMICAL SCIENCES, EARTH SCIENCES, EDUCATION, ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES, PHYSICAL SCIENCES or SCIENCE - GENERAL.
