Scholarship Description

The purpose of this scholarship is to enable a suitably qualified graduate to carry out a research project relevant to agriculture, particularly in the areas of biodiversity and conservation, biotechnology, environmental health, environmental protection and inland aquaculture, leading to a PhD.

Availability

This scholarship is offered annually to 2 people. Open for applications from September 1, 2008 until October 31, 2008.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD26140 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of up to 3 and a half years.

Research Information

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: AGRICULTURAL, VETERINARY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES, BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES or Hydrology. It is required that your study starts no earlier than January 1, 2009 and no later than March 31, 2009.

Eligibility

This scholarship requires you to have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia may apply.
