Australian Seafood CRC Scholarship

Scholarship Description

Over many years marketing researchers have identified a series of patterns in buyer behaviour and brand performance. This project aims to apply this model to the selling and buying of fish in an auction context. In this context, the "brand" may be analysed as either the fish species, the seller of the fish, or potentially the buyer. The benefits of this project are many, including identifying potential boundary conditions of a strongly supported theory of buyer behaviour, a greater understanding of buying and selling ina B2B context, and extending our knowledge of a commonly used exchange mechanism. The Scholarship has an additional operating budget of $5,000 per year for 3 years & $300 towards thesis binding in the third year. A further $1,000 per year is also available for defined mentor activies to be approved by the CRC.
