A study of the effects of severe plastic deformation by Equal Channel Angular Processing (ECAP) on the crystallographic anisotropy and the resulting relationships between microstructure and properties. 1. Perform ECAP of aluminium alloys based on the A1-Mg system.

This scholarship is offered once only to one person. Open for applications from May 6, 2008 until May 30, 2008.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD25140 (per annum). This award is to be used for research. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of up to 3 and a half years.

Research Information

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Materials engineering or Other engineering and technology. It is required that your study starts no earlier than June 9, 2008 and no later than July 31, 2008.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Honours 2a or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand or permanent residents can apply.
