Scholarship Description
For the purpose of encouraging postgraduate research in New Zealand we offer PhD scholarships to those about to commence their doctoral studies at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. These scholarships are awarded on academic merit and are open to New Zealand and international students in any discipline. Refer to PDf attachment for an application form.

Availability
This scholarship is offered bi-annually to 30 people. Open for applications from May 1, 2008 until November 1, 2008.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is NZD20000 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses and fees. This scholarship is paid monthly for the period of 3 years.

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: ARCHITECTURE, URBAN ENVIRONMENT AND BUILDING, BEHAVIOURAL AND COGNITIVE SCIENCES, BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES, CHEMICAL SCIENCES, COMMERCE, MANAGEMENT, TOURISM AND SERVICES, EARTH SCIENCES, ECONOMICS, EDUCATION, ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, HISTORY AND ARCHAEOLOGY, INFORMATION, COMPUTING AND COMMUNICATION SCIENCES, LANGUAGE AND CULTURE, LAW, JUSTICE AND LAW ENFORCEMENT, MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES, PHILOSOPHY AND RELIGION, PHYSICAL SCIENCES, POLICY AND POLITICAL SCIENCE, SCIENCE - GENERAL or SOCIAL SCIENCES, HUMANITIES AND ARTS - GENERAL.
Eligibility
This scholarship requires you to have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Masters or equivalent. You must be over the age of 20. There are no restrictions on citizenship.
