MQRES Integration of European Union PhD Scholarship

Scholarship Description

Two PhD scholarships are available at the IUEU centre at Macquarie University for projects on the integration process of the European Union in general, or related areas such as Politics, International Relations, History, Law, Economics, Commerce, EU Languages and Cultural Studies, or another discipline appropriate to the particular proposal. The IUEU Centre is based on a consortium of six universities, with La Trobe and Macquarie as the two principal nodes and Griffith, Newcastle, Flinders and Murdoch as partner universities. This scholarship will be based with the principal supervisor at Macquarie University, but the Centre will facilitate co-supervision of appropriate expertise from another university in the consortium. MQRES scholarships are open to Australian or International applicants. Applicants should have an Australian first class honours Bachelor degree or equivalent (Masters degree with research). International awardees will have tuition fees and health cover sponsored.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD20007 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 and a half years.

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: COMMERCE, MANAGEMENT, TOURISM AND SERVICES, ECONOMICS, Historical studies, HISTORY AND ARCHAEOLOGY, LAW, JUSTICE AND LAW ENFORCEMENT, Political science or SOCIAL SCIENCES, HUMANITIES AND ARTS - GENERAL.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent. There are no restrictions on citizenship.
