MQRES Ecological Informatics PhD Scholarship

Scholarship Description

A PhD scholarship is available in the Department of Biological Sciences at Macquarie University. Project outlines should focus on developing and applying ecological informatics tools to large-scale, integrative ecological research problems particularly those with relevance for improving our understanding and ability to predict ecological responses of organisms to a rapidly changing world, using global-scale datasets. It will include theoretical and software development components, therefore strong mathematical and computer programming skills are required. MQRES scholarships are available to Australian or international students. Applicants should have a first class honours Australian undergraduate degree or equivalent (Masters with research component) in a relevant discipline (Biological, Ecology or Environmental Sciences). International awardees will receive tuition fees for the scholarship tenure.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD20007 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 and a half years.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent. There are no restrictions on citizenship.
