PhD Scholarship - Multiphase flow in porous media
Scholarship Description
The School of Petroleum Engineering at the University of New South Wales invites applications for a PhD position for experimental and numerical study in multiphase flow in porous media. The primary responsibilities are (i) design, execution and data analysis of the experiments in two-phase flow in petroleum reservoir rocks and (ii) perform numerical computations using network models to simulate experimental observations. The positions are available for 3 years starting early 2008. Applicants must have a degree in physics/physical chemistry or closely related field and the ability to produce high quality research suitable for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Candidates with expertise in experimental and numerical research are preferred, but everyone with research interest in petroleum related areas is encouraged to apply.

This scholarship is offered annually to one person. Open for applications from January 6, 2008 until March 31, 2008.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD25000 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.
