Psychology MQRES Cognitive Science (Attention) PhD Scholarship

Scholarship Description

A PhD MQRES scholarship is available in the Macquarie University Centre for Cognitive Science (MACCS) for investigating “Attention, Intention and Automaticity” in association with an Australian Research Council-funded research project. The candidate will join a research team investigating the role of “higher-order” cognitive systems (namely spatial and temporal attention) in nonconscious information processing. Applicants should have an Australian undergraduate degree with first class honours or equivalent (a Masters degree with a thesis component) in a relevant discipline (Cognitive Psychology, Mathematics or Physics). Candidates who have experience working with ERPs and/or kinematics are encouraged to apply. International awardees will have tuition fee and health cover sponsored.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD20007 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 and a half years.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent. There are no restrictions on citizenship.
