Scholarship Description

MPhil - scholarship - The economic balance between blasting, mining and processing requires reviewing on the basis of improvements in technology and research knowledge. The research will focus on a more rigorous economic analysis of the total mining and extraction process to define a configuration which maximises value. The scholarship is open to recently qualified graduates or young professionals with an honours degree in mining, civil, mechanical or mineral processing engineering, who have a strong interest or capability in economics. Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD43000 (total may vary). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 2 years.

Research Information

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY or Mineral engineering. It is required that your study starts no earlier than February 1, 2008 and no later than February 1, 2010.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 2a or equivalent.
