Mental Health Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme: Clinical Psychology
Scholarship Description
The APS and Department of Health and Ageing are offering scholarships for students who will be commencing an APS accredited Masters or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2009. These scholarships are open to persons who have a rural, regional or remote residency, an Indigenous and/or Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) background, and/or are students who have demonstrated a commitment to working with one or more of these groups. The MHPSS Government initiative will make a significant impact on the number of psychologists working in these areas of need. This scholarship is offered annually to an unspecified number of people. Open for applications from November 2, 2007 until October 31, 2008.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD15000 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid for the period of 2 years if masters or 3 years if PhD.
Research Information
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Psychology. It is required that your study starts no earlier than January 1, 2008.
Eligibility
This scholarship is for study in Australia. To apply you must be a Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, non-english speaking background person or student from a remote/rural area.
