Scholarship Description

The scholarship is to design and develop smart implements that can ensure sub inch precision in seed placement at high sawing speeds. The work involves, modeling complex mechanical systems, design of a novel active agricultural implement with a sensor suite, and implementation of non-linear control systems to ensure precision implement guidance. Research areas would cover, navigation, guidance, modeling, control systems and system design.

This scholarship is offered once only to one person. Open for applications from February 16, 2007 until July 31, 2007.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD25100 (minimum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.

Research Information

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY or Mechanical and industrial engineering. It is required that your study starts no earlier than August 1, 2007 and no later than July 31, 2010.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, Honours 2a or equivalent, or Masters or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or permanent residents can apply.
