Healthway WA - Indigenous Research Training Scholarship

Scholarship Description

The purpose of the Indigenous Research Training Scholarships is to provide support for Indigenous students to undertake research training in areas of particular relevance to the promotion of health in Aboriginal communities. Applicants must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent and must reside within Western Australia for the duration of the scholarship. Successful applicants must enrol for a postgraduate course (such as a relevant graduate certificate, postgraduate diploma, honours, PHD or Masters) at a fully accredited institution which will enable the applicant to pursue further studies relevant to Aboriginal Health.

This scholarship is offered annually to one person. Open for applications until August 19, 2011.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD27500 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: EDUCATION, MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES or Public health and health services.

To apply you must be a Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Only citizens of Australia or AUS permanent resident can apply.
