MQRES PhD Unifying High-Level Approach to Software Generation Systems

Scholarship Description

A full-time PhD Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarships (MQRES) is currently available in the Division of Information and Communication Sciences for a project to study unifying, high-level approach to software generation systems. Software generation automatically produces software from high-level specifications of functionality. Constructing generation systems from separate tools causes problems, including difficult integration and poor reuse of standard generation methods. This project will concentrate on the back-end issues of generating efficient, low-level code from the new notations. Evaluation will be based on our more than 15 years experience of developing language processor generation tools. Applicants with backgrounds in Telecommunications/Engineering are desirable. International award holders will have their full tuition fee and Overseas Health Care costs paid under the award.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD20007 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 and a half years.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent. There are no restrictions on citizenship.
